Councils on Developmental Disabilities
Focusing on the “Areas of Emphasis”
The DD requires Councils to focus on 8 areas of emphasis, which are: quality assurance, education and early intervention, child-care, health, employment, housing, transportation, recreation, and other services available or offered to people in a community which affect their quality of life.
